Welcome to Shazza's
Hi I'm Shazza and welcome to Shazza's.
I am blessed with two wonderful children, Angel is 13 and my not so little man is 11 and has a severe form of epilepsy called SMEI (Severe Myoclonic Epilepsy of Infancy) also known as Dravet Syndrome, which for Jarod includes symptoms of seizures, intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities. Shazza's is mainly about my son and how he deals with his disabilities but these issues affect the entire family and you'll find that reflected here. I have put in a short description of Dravet Syndrome here.
You will also notice that I talk a lot about a program called EDP - Early Development Program for children 0-5 with severe and/or multiple disabilities and their families. This is a South Australian based program. Learn more about EDP here .
